VITECO Telecommunications Technology Joint Stock Company

Telephone Equipment Company (VITECO) was established in 1991 under Decision No. 640/QD/TCCB dated May 15, 1991 of the General Director of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Corporation on the establishment of a State-owned enterprise with dependent accounting of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Corporation.

In 1996, Electrical Equipment Company (VITECO) switched to independent accounting, as a member unit of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Corporation according to Decision No. 432/TCCB-LD dated September 9, 1996 of the General Director of the General Department of Posts and Telecommunications.

In September 1999, 02 dependent accounting units of Telephone Equipment Company (VITECO) were VTC1 Center and OMC2 in the South was separated to equitize into VTC Telecommunications Joint Stock Company (VTC) according to Decision No. 618/1999/QD - TCCB of the Director General of the General Department of Posts and Telecommunications.

On June 6, 2002, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Corporation issued Decision No. 258/QD-TCCB/HĐQT on converting Telephone Equipment Company (VITECO) into a company shares. This is a turning point marking an important transformation in the Company's operations, creating a proactive position for the Company on the path of integration and development.

On November 25, 2004, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications issued Decision No. 56/2004/QD-BBCVT on converting Telephone Equipment Company (VITECO) into VI TE CO Telecommunications Technology Joint Stock Company.

The Company was approved to list shares at Hanoi Stock Exchange according to decision No. 142/QD-SGDHN dated March 31, 2011 with stock code VIE. The official trading date of the stock is May 6, 2011.
